The current discourses on alien invasive species in Bangladesh appears to be an apology for the invasive species. Some of the past researches I have read on this topic in the Bangladeshi context are on some positive aspect of invasive species. Either that they have medicinal values or that a secondary crop may be grown on them etc. The last one of such research that I read today is:
Population Structure and Curative Uses of Invasive Plants in and around the Protected Forests of Bangladesh: A Means of Utilization of Potential Invasive Species", Md. Habibur Rahman and Bishwajit Roy. Journal of Ecosystems, Volume 2014 (2014), Article ID 249807, 14 pages, http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2014/249807

A study is needed to see and if positive establish this tendency. 19.09.2017.
